The topic is Peace. What do we expect when using the word Peace? What does the word symbolize to us? What is meant by the spiritual “Peace that passeth all understanding”? Do we mean World Peace? Do we mean Peace as in “Peace and quiet”? We probably expect all of these and many more. Do you see the hierarchy in my listing (i.e., spiritual, World, personal)?
I’m talking here about personal Peace – beyond just “Peace and quiet.” A Peace that comes from making a difference in the World. A Peace that comes from a worthy job well done. A Peace you feel when one takes the high road of selflessness. I’m talking about how we as individuals achieve and experience Peace.
Many think of Peace as the goal – the endgame. Peace is a process, not a goal. Peace is an individual experience and on a person-to-person level. World peace is created by individuals personal Peace. Peace comes from within. Peace comes from our spirit.
So is there a hierarchy? No, Peace is not hierarchical or linear but circular, a process – a grassroots process. What goes around comes around so create Peace, and it will circle back to you.
